           Founder, Chairman & Chief Executive Officer

1. Mr. Alfonso has over twenty years of mergers, acquisitions and operational experience. He has completed more than fifty transactions and acted as the portfolio manager of a highly diversified group of businesses, all acquired from large public and private corporations, with aggregate annual revenues of over $5 billion and 15,000 employees worldwide. Mr. Alfonso has extensive U.S and international experience in Asia, Latin America and Europe.
2. As chairman of the Board of Managers for Empire, Mr. Alfonso is responsible for overseeing all strategic development and direction of the firm and its portfolio companies. He also chairs the Investment Committee and Oversight Committee.
3. Prior to establishing Empire, Mr. Alfonso held the executive positions of; senior vice president & principal with Platinum Equity, managing director with Hartford Life International and director of sales & marketing with American Bankers Insurance Group.
4. Mr. Alfonso earned a bachelor's degree from Florida International University and an M.B.A. from the University of Miami.
5. Outside his responsibilities at Empire, Mr. Alfonso is actively involved with philanthropic activities supporting various organizations and foundations, and served as a member of the Florida International University Foundation Board. He was awarded by Florida International University the FIU Medallion for Outstanding Alumnus.
