Empire Investment Holdings Announces it has Commenced Formal Operations
Fort Lauderdale, Florida, March 3, 2004 - Empire Investment Holdings, LLC, a private buyout firm focused on the acquisition and strategic management of small to middle market size companies, announced today that it has commenced formal operations. Empire Investment Holdings has devoted the past four months to building out its infrastructure and aligning itself with leading outside advisors and investors, which has positioned the firm to begin executing on its investment plan.
David F. Alfonso, Empire's chairman and chief executive officer said, "We clearly view ourselves as a strategic and financial investor, since we take a long-term view on our investments. At Empire, we focus on investment opportunities that allow us to add and create value by leveraging our operational experience with corporate divestitures which are no longer considered strategic and viewed as non-core."
Empire looks to invest in mature companies that have potential long-term value, offer strategically critical products and services to their customers, and that can play a strategic role in its portfolio. Empire has extensive experience in quickly identifying these potential targets, evaluating and consummating transactions, and unlocking and adding significant value through a hands-on operational approach.
Empire's M&A team is now prepared to mobilize and coordinate the resources needed to evaluate and execute a transaction. The team is comprised of in-house professionals and leading outside advisors that can support every facet of a transaction.
